WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Social Media Coordinator acts as the community-facing embodiment of each brand, with the goal of growing online awareness. Providing support to the Content and Storytelling Manager, the Social Media Coordinator possesses exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills and resourcefulness. They have a passion for design and a keen ability to communicate and connect with our audiences to facilitate meaningful engagement to aid in the building of online communities across all channels.

 

WHAT YOU DO (AMONG OTHER THINGS):

·        Organize and schedule content on across all platforms based on optimal posting times

·        Execute social posting on all active social media channels, and optimize based on audience activity

·        Write and adapt copy based on best practices specific to each social media platform

·        Regularly communicate with website team to ensure all available image assets and copy are added to web product pages prior to the corresponding social media post going live.

·        Ensure all products featured in social media content are built on website, Shoppable Instagram and have sufficient inventory prior to deploying content. Flag any unbuilt, low or out of stock products to appropriate team for resolution.

·        Source and organize vendor imagery, product knowledge and any other relevant details for use in social media content.

·        Monitor direct messages and comments across all social media platforms and accounts, responding in a timely manner that is consistent with each brand’s voice. Escalate customer inquiries to the appropriate internal contact as necessary.

·        Engage with social communities, clients, and influential prospects to build relationships within the industry and encourage community voice.

·        Curate user generated content by obtaining appropriate permissions, identifying products and ensuring sufficient inventory

·        Identify micro and nano influencers and loyal brand followers to work with, establishing a working relationship with them to create on-brand partner content. Assess and report on effectiveness of partnerships.

·        Execute weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, identifying and recommending actionable insights

·        Assist with ad-hoc social media initiatives as necessary

·        Own content strategy for secondary social media platforms

·        Execute graphic design tasks such cropping assets and resizing images as needed

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications or related field

·        1-2 years professional experience working in a social media role

·       Keen understanding of social media platforms and analytics; up to date with the latest social media platforms and trends

  • Experience with Iconosquare is an asset

·        Working knowledge of Photoshop is an asset

·        Excellent short form copywriting experience and knowledge of proper grammar and spelling

·        Self-starter, creative thinker, motived and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

·        Excellent time management and organizational skills

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·        Passion for design and home furnishing
