About the Role

We’re looking for a Sales Manager – Luxury Retail to lead a team of high-performing, commission-based sales professionals at Elte. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines coaching, strategy, and client focus in a fast-paced, design-driven environment. As a key member of the showroom leadership team, you will set the tone for performance, service excellence, and team culture, fueling Elte’s continued growth through strong leadership and a shared passion for considered design.

 

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Work with HR to Recruit, onboard, and train a high-performing sales team to exceed performance goals and deliver exceptional client experiences

  • Provide consistent coaching and feedback through regular one-on-ones, floor engagement, and structured daily touchpoints

  • Schedule and lead team huddles and department meetings; follow up with key takeaways for those absent

  • Manage team scheduling and time-off approvals using Humi

  • Develop and maintain 2-week onboarding calendars for new hires, including scheduling training sessions (Storis, HR, product tours, etc.)

  • Coordinate product knowledge training through internal sales leaders, vendors, and merchant partners

  • Organize team-building initiatives and cultural events (e.g., potlucks, seasonal celebrations)

Sales Strategy & Client Experience

  • Drive individual and team performance through strategic sales planning, outreach initiatives, and personalized client engagement

  • Lead sales outreach campaigns using Salesforce, particularly in support of promotions, vendor visits, and trade-focused initiatives

  • Set clear sales goals and monitor progress through reporting and analytics; share actionable insights with the team

  • Oversee the follow-up process on open quotes, especially within key timelines such as 30-day price protection windows

  • Assign and monitor incoming info leads, ensuring timely follow-up aligned with rep expertise and bandwidth

  • Ensure post-appointment follow-ups are completed and results documented

  • Support relationship building through local networking, trade outreach, and vendor event execution

Showroom Operations

  • Ensure the showroom consistently reflects Elte’s brand standards in cleanliness, presentation, and atmosphere (e.g., lighting, music, temperature)

  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to maintain visual standards and resolve any facility-related issues, escalating to Facilities or resolving directly as needed

  • Support customers with after-sales concerns (e.g., NPS survey follow-up, service-related issues) with professionalism and timely resolution

  • Coordinate tools and materials for training (e.g., tablets, sample kits, catalogues, media setup) and keep vendor content up to date

  • Ensure proper floor coverage and shift coverage planning to maintain strong service levels throughout operating hours

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on new brand launches, product introductions, and company-wide initiatives (e.g., promotional events, vendor visits)

    • Schedule vendor PKs, trade appointments, and campaign support

    • Coordinate with Marketing and IT to pull sales lists and create outreach strategies

 

Who You Are

Experience & Expertise

  • 5–7+ years of experience leading customer-facing teams, ideally in a commission-based or luxury retail environment

  • Proven success coaching sales professionals and managing to KPIs

  • Experience in high-ticket or design-focused categories preferred

  • Familiarity with CRM and point-of-sale systems such as Salesforce
